Accurate Underground Utility Mapping for Smarter Design

Public utility locates (via Ontario One Call) identify utilities owned by major service providers. However, they do not capture private utilities located on commercial, industrial, institutional, or multi-unit residential sites.

Our Private Locate Services fill that gap by identifying buried utilities that are typically the owner’s responsibility, such as:

• Secondary power lines
• Gas or water laterals beyond the meter
• Communication and fiber infrastructure
• Private lighting or control wiring
• Irrigation and process piping
   

We use electromagnetic and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to locate, trace, and mark these lines with high accuracy.

Deliverables include:

• On-site markings and sketches
• CAD or GIS layers compatible with your base plan
• Digital records that integrate directly into survey or design drawings

SUE services take utility investigation a step further by defining the exact position, depth, and characteristics of buried infrastructure. Following ASCE 38-02/ASCE 38-22 standards, SUE deliverables are classified from Quality Level D (records-based) to Quality Level A (exposed and surveyed).

Applications include:
